This is a great field and makes for a good race. SO many possibilities. I want to root for the filly but of course she has a tough task on her hands as these boys are full of class and experience. Wouldn't it be neat to see Bisket's old horsey, Delightful Kiss come back and win it?

Bisket, I commented on another thread last night that it would be SUPER cool if Bisket's horsey, Delightful Kiss won. Speaking of him...I am not sure if you ever saw (I thought I emailed it to you) but when we were at the BC in 2008 I took a couple pics of him with you in mind and also got some Seabiscuit pics on the Seabiscuit tour because I totally thought of you when we went on that tour...in fact Cbiscuit2win (remember her?) and I joked about how we HAD to get a few 'Biscuit shots for the Bisket! LOL! . Anyway, here are a couple pics....one of Seabiscuit's saddlecloth (not original)on the horsey that played "biscuit in the movie, one of Seabiscuit statue and a kind of a neat one I got of D'Kiss when he was walking back after the Marathon. Enjoy! P.S.~ I work with a gal that just spent a week at a conference in DC...she said there were several there from Baltimore and they were griping how the weather is still nasty! Hope it's not too bad! Also I got a few great pics of Richard's Kid this year in and before the Classic if you are ever interested in seeing them, just holler.

DK last ran on synthetics in '08 when he made 3 starts winning twice and finishing 4th, beaten by 2 lengths. His 2nd highest career speed rating was on synthetics, so it appears he can handle the surface. Loup Breton St Trinians Jeranimo Tiger's Rock

my heart is with the girl here, but she has her work cut out. I like Neko Bay a lot, this is a tough one.

(Courtesy of Bloodhorse) Awesome Gem Ready For Another Season By Blood-Horse Staff Posted: Friday, March 5, 2010 3:33 PM Awesome Gemmakes his first start since finishing seventh to Zenyatta in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) when he runs in the $250,000 Frank E. Kilroe Mile (gr. IT). David Flores, who was aboard for that race and also for a winning ride in the grade II Hawthorne Gold Cup last October, is back on for the Kilroe. A 7-year-old gelded son of Awesome Again http://www.equineline.com/dotReportProductSelectionDisplay.cfm?horse_name=Awesome+Again&YOB=1994&breed_type=TB&horse_type=I&ASCID=1443262 owned by West Point Thoroughbreds and trained by Craig Dollase, Awesome Gem has a 6-11-3 record from 31 career starts, but is only one for nine on the grass. “I think his best races are on the turf,” Flores said. “But he runs good on anything. He always tries. He’s an honest horse.” Flores felt Awesome Gem might have been closer in the Classic with better racing luck. He broke outward from post 12, was less than three lengths off the lead entering the stretch, but tired late. “It wasn’t that bad breaking from the outside,” Flores recalled, “because one time before the turn I had the opportunity to go down to the fence. I tried to do my best on the horse and I came a little bit wide on the second turn. The first turn was fine. I made the decision to stay outside because I didn’t want to get trapped. You never know what’s going to happen in a race.” An earner of nearly $1.7 million, Awesome Gem also scored the San Fernando Stakes (gr. II) in 2007. He turned in his final work for the Kilroe Mile on Feb. 27 at Hollywood Park, going six furlongs in 1:13.40. Out of the Pentelicus mare Piano, Awesome Gem was bred in Kentucky by Runnymede Farm, Catesby Clay, and Peter Callahan.

OMG! Bisket you work graveyards?? UGH! I remember those days...you feel like a ZOmbie by the time you get home and it seems everyone else is just bright eyed and starting their day! How you can even focus on PP's after a grueling shift like that is amazing! Have you always worked the late shifts? Maybe that would explain why some of your posts seem so late at night! Hopefully you can settle into an easy chair and watch the races and relax!

Just saw a live shot of Santa Anita on HRTV. Those skies do not look friendly, but they say the rain is holding off (so far).
