halo Dolly would be a hunch play for me if she runs here, but also entered in another race, which is what I think Hollendoffer will do, run her there...I wouldn't pick her to win, just use her (my mom's nick name was Dolly)

Anyway...should be a good one:

Nereid

Cambina

Star Billing

Bizzy Caroline

I liked Bizzy Caroline in the Hollywood Oaks and she disappointed. I have to think Ken McPeek has faith she can run with these if he goes back in with the same group of horses. Perhaps she had a legitimate reason for her poor showing in the last race. It seems McPeek has sent horses to both coasts and I wonder if he felt the heat wave in the middle of the country was too much for his horses to put up with. I have heard trainers in the past complain Kentucky can be awfully hot in the summer and perhaps not the best place to have your main stable during July and August.

I bet the two Shirreffs' fillies to Summer Soiree in an exacta box. When I saw SS had run 6 furlongs in 1:10 and change, I figured she would never hold on at the wire. But she did and Saez gave her a masterful ride. But JS has to be pleased with the results and if the 3 of them are in the BC, I don't think SS will get away with an uncontested lead as she did on Saturday. I expect they'll turn the tables on her in November.
