this race will be a big test for Charly, if he wins he is a Derby prospect, if not he is just another 3 yr old horse, his longest race so far is 7 furlongs, he needs to show something around 2 turns, Rule has 3 times already, Charly hasn't, yet

Track has been playing to speed or pressers.Horses with a Zenyatta type of running style hve not been winning. Raining and cold as hell down here right now. If the temp drops a few more degrees we could see some white stuff. Track should be dried out by late afternoon tomorrow. Track condition usually isn't a big factor here, but it might be tomorrow. Watch the early races.

I have to say, I'm with Muleskinner on this one. This is gonna be a true test of Charly's ability. A lot of the other entrants have pedigrees that indicate stamina. Charly's sire, Limehouse, won from 6-12 furlongs...so this may be an indicator of how much of daddy's stamina Charly got....it's hard to get a read on his pedigree. With a sire who won at 12 furlongs (Brooklyn Handicap), and a damsire who was apparently best at 9f, I'd like to think he can stretch out. I'm hoping for the best!

At the risk of starting a family feud   I expect Schoolyard Dreams to run big tomorrow as the probable 4th choice. Ryan has added blinkers and SD has put up 3 excellent works since his last race. He's improving and it looks like the equipment change is a positive. SD is no slouch. His race 2 back has the highest performance figure of all Rule's challengers. I expect Rule and SD to run 1,2.
