the horse that intrigues me in this race is jeranimo. i'm gonna have to look into him a little more. stately victor is another possibility.

Honestly, I worry the most about another Eight Belles scenario. Putting a filly that small in against the boys for the first time at 10f in a race of that magnitude......that's a disaster waiting to happen. swale she has never had to deal with an honest pace for fillies yet an honest pace for horse...

what concerns me about havre de grace in the classic is she has never had to deal with pace pressure at 1 1/4 mile. most times with the fillies you don't have to push them to want the lead. they will do it on their own and over exert themselves. this is what concerns me with grace.

i honestly don't like the idea of this filly running against horses at 1 1/4 mile. a filly like grace will try her heart out to keep up with other runners. which is fine when she is racing against fellow fillies. i'm just afraid if she running against much physically stronger horses she might hurt h...

BTW, Shirreff's actually has a pretty dismal record going this particular distance on turf.

i like harmonious going forward, and i played her last year in the cup. i just didn't see her winning yesterday, and her odds were way out of line.

she just couldn't keep up with them... harmonious needs more ground and a longer stretch. i think sherriffs is just bringing her along slowly this year. i'll be looking at her closely in filly mare turf if she's there again this year!!!
