Poor Mine That Bird. Lukas clearly knows nothing about the horse and has no sort of connection with him. If his owners truly want what is best, they'll send him back to Wooley.

Going by physics, theoretically, a horse should spend the same amount of time in the air during a gallop as it does at a canter. The difference is their forward velocity, which allows them to travel forward further while in the air. But since the acceleration of gravity doesn't change between the tw...

Stride length is important, but it can be completely negated is a horse with a shorter stride can do more strides in less time than. And, height doesn't necessarily effect stride length. A lot of it depends on a horses ability to really sit back on its haunches and engage their hocks so they can rea...

Ta Wee, The above picture does NOT do it justice...I HAVE the picture and it is very nicely done. Besides...even if it isn't perfect...it was a donation worth sending (the picture was just a bonus). CANCER is evil and has claimed the lives of someone that all of us know! Sad and I hoep ...

Hmm, that's a cool thing that the V foundation is doing, but I'm not very impressed by the collage.the background blending is great, but the foreground pic just looks awkward and out of place if you ask me. Rule one of Graphic Design: never leave something randomly floating without blending it into ...

Well, I also agree with Karen...it is the FAILING BASE that has been a problem at Santa Anita since BEFORE SA installed any synthetic surface. It's BS to say horses that are "dirt horses" cannot run or win on synthetics...perhaps that argument is simply being tossed out there because ...

No offense intended, Bet, but if QR opts for the Dirt Mile, I'll eat a handful of dirt (with some ketchup on it, of course). Personally I think he's do better in the dirt mile than the classic. He's a nice horse, but it just doesn't seem that the mile and a quarter is his distance. He tries hard, b...

I've been wondering that too. You gotta admit, that would be embarrassing.

Well, she's in the paddock. Watching via Calracing, but my feed keeps cutting in and out. Hope it doesn't crash. She looks good though.

Hmm... going off of those, I think he might be a bit hindered by Churchill Down's long homestretch. Most of Japan's are sooo short... his speed does seem to very controlable though, so he'd probably be a good challenge for Zen. I can't help but wonder if the riding style would be a hindrance too tho...

I don't think I would ever want a horse with his blood. Health is not a reasonable sacrifice for speed.
